Amanda is launching a recovery ministry that focuses on holistic care and intentional discipleship. This ministry will transform lives through Christ, reunite families, and foster sustainable rehabilitation within a discipleship community rooted in the sacrificial generosity and persevering love of Christ.
Discipleship Development
There is a vibrant and thriving local church in Armenia that will prove vital in the effort to create a disciple-making movement among those caught in cycles of violence and substance abuse. A large part of daily ministry in Colombia will be spent identifying and training local churches and disciple-makers willing to serve as mentors to those in the rehabilitation services.
Discipleship development will provide consistent community and opportunities to explore faith, which has proven to support lasting sobriety and recovery.
Holistic Care
Sustainable rehabilitation requires holistic care and professional support. This term in Colombia will be focused on building relationships with local businesses, housing authorities, rehab counselors and others in order to create a rehabilitation program that meets the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of individuals in recovery.
Business as Mission
By pairing discipleship with vocational training through a "business as mission" approach, this ministry will help fund the rehabilitation services, employ those in recovery, and aid in housing and transportation support. Overall, this ministry will empower individuals to overcome addiction and build stable futures, promoting a culture of hope and resilience.
